Following a series of forest fires, La Casa dels Futurs – in collaboration with Regenerades – has participated in organizing tree plantations in the Valley of Can Masdeu aimed at supporting soil and ecosystem regeneration. The tree plantings included gathering and sprouting of hundreds of acorns, planting and maintenance of saplings and interventions to promote water capture around newly planted trees. Tree varieties have included fruit trees and edible acorn varieties. In 2022, trees were planted by a group of inter-generational volunteers in dedication to murdered environmental defenders as part of an international call to action led by allies in Mexico.
