Working along the close relationship between the submission of women’s bodies and the submission of nature – CosTerritories supports migrant women by both exploring the structural causes of this relationship and by shedding light on its possible solutions.
CosTerritories was born in 2023 from a listening tour throughout Catalonia around the migrant woman’s body in relation to the Earth. Using situated critical pedagogies – that listen with and through the body – this project aims to co-create knowledge and discursive, experiential and artistic terrains that re-signify South/North relations. Through this process, CosTerritories seeks to work with participants to explore their own relationships to the structural causes of inequalities and violations of human, environmental and gender rights.
CosTerritories organizes eco-feminist meetings and activities that facilitate spaces for interaction, reflection and debate based on the shared experience between the stories lived by participants and the struggles of social movements in defense of human rights (with a focus on struggles that have historically been made invisible) such as the Latin American processes and the emerging anti-racist platforms in Catalonia. These conversations navigate between various contexts, tensions and perspectives: global south and global north; urban and rural; migrant and indigenous; and normative and non-normative bodies.
Through these meetings, we generate ideas and community to generate and implement ways of living with dignity inside planetary limits, while confronting and adapting to the climate crisis and its causes.

Participatory Forums on Human Rights: CosTerritories coordinated 6 participatory sessions, in various provinces of Catalonia, of reflection focused on the intersections of human rights and gender, and their links with environmental and social problems at local and global levels. Eco-Feminisms from the Peripheries: CosTerritories coordinated three sessions focused on the exchange of knowledge about the problems and challenges faced by ecosocial activists from the South and the North. The sessions opened a space for the collection of proposals for solutions to strengthen international and cross-border networks in defense of the intersection of human, environmental and gender rights.
Resistances from the peripheries: Between South and North: A performative tour with three traveling art exhibitions focused on the diverse forms of feminist resistance in defense of human rights, environmental justice and gender justice.
